Sales and Marketing Manager – with Agile – Scrum experience

The role in general:

This is an opportunity for a Sales and Marketing Manager with Agile and Scrum Methodology experience to join the market leaders of Cloud MIS for Schools throughout the UK. This candidate will carry out his/her role as a Scrum Master.

In our Sales and Marketing Office, the Office staff have now reached to a point where our Agile Scrum processes have settled down and later this month we will be also getting our new CRM Dynamics 365 commissioned and up and running. Hence we can now look to build on this a managerial role.

A role within our Sales Department in a structure covering following key areas:

  1. Office Manager / Scrum Master /Managing the CRM Dynamics 365
  2. Weekly, Monthly and Quarterly Forecasting / Reporting
  3. Mentoring Regional Sales Leads / coaching through call recordings
  4. Customer Relations Manager (for Gold Reference Site Development)
  5. Managing Partner Support Units (3rd Party / LAs)
  6. Ensure processes and procedures are followed up in the Department to existing Company’s ISO 9001 processes and standards.

The main purpose of this roles is to lead and support the Sales and Marketing Team to achieve the Sales targets. This role also encompasses close daily overall supervision and coordination all sales activities in the office that feeds

into KPIs e.g.; generate sales leads, sales calls, following the leads into appointments and then into orders. Sales engagement in the field is structured as two regions and backed by appropriate marketing activities.

The weekly reports are reviewed and identify highlights to be listed as Agenda items and if necessary with suitable actions to be discussed in weekly meeting that is held for the Sales and Marketing Office Team. The reports are deployed as a way of communications and actions.

Department Structure:

The Company’s Sales and Marketing Department’s activities are structured under two regions – North and South, each with a Field Sales Account Managers and their daily calendar managed by internally by a Regional Sales Leads. Sales Regional Leads are supported by Sales Admin Coordinator. The Department also has Upselling Lead and

Administrative Coordinator. The Department relies on tele-marketing and digital marketing activities for generating leads for direct school sales and Tenders Notification Service for the ITTs by LAs or by MATs

Telemarketing Team:

The company has plans to build a tele-marketing team of 3-4 staff to back up the present level of tele-marketing. Part of this team also covers CRM calls with existing users for on-going assessment of user base feedback and cultivating and developing reference site relationship.

Digital Marketing:

The Company is putting more emphasis to digital marketing for lead generation for all Internet based tools and media such as; webinars, forums and Twitter, using video clip promotion to user testimonials. Presently the Company ranks high on the first page under Google search with key words “school MIS”.

Primary Day to Day Sales Activities

  • Based on Agile Methodology and Scrum, to oversee the daily running of the Sales and Marketing Office and provide necessary leadership, quality control, training and support to the Office Sales team to ensure targets are met. Facilities are in place for recording and monitoring telephone calls.
  • Monitor and maintaining sales and marketing targets for staff primarily number of leads generated, number of calls, number of appointments and meeting sales revenue targets.
  • Regular training the sales team on sales techniques and giving advice.
  • Ensuring the sales team manage CRM calls regularly and effectively.
  • Ensure Regional Leads efficiently plan/schedule the field appointments with prospect schools, academies. MATS and LAs
  • Ensure vigorous follow up of sales opportunities with telephone and email communication to close sales
  • Weekly and termly Reporting on activities towards targets to the Senior Management.
  • Responsibility for organising exhibition as required e.g. BETT
  • Sales office - putting together and maintaining various templates to devising processes.
  • Oversee and ensure high standards in all sales correspondence including formal proposals and quotations
  • Co-ordinate the completion, and check accuracy of monthly forecast sheets
  • Liaise with Customer Care/ Helpdesk, Software and Accounts Departments where necessary to convey relevant information to and from the Sales Department
  • Liaise with the Accounts department to aid with forecasts, orders, invoices and any enquiries

  • Agile and Scrum Methodology experience and held Scrum Master role
  • Multi-tasking and excellent time management skills
  • Result and time driven project management skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communication and presentation skill
  • Experience recruiting and handling line management responsibilities
  • Enthusiasm, tenacity and motivation to motivate staff to generate new sales leads
  • Preferred domain knowledge of schools, academies, Local Authorities and MATs
  • Management and hands-on supervision skills and inter-departmental relationship
