Job description

Bromcom provide integrated Cloud based solutions for Schools, including MIS, Finance, Consolidated Reporting and Analytics. With over 30 years in the education sector and over 1,000,000 users in the UK, we are currently in a rapid growth phase and seeking to expand our team. We have an exciting opportunity for a QA Manager to come in add value to a growing organisation based in Bromley. The successful candidate will have experience managing a team both offshore and remotely. We are looking for someone that thrives in working in a collaborative environment, remaining open minded and flexible to different situations.

Required Skills

  • Extensive experience in Quality Assurance management across a variety of agile projects, with a focus on enforcing processes and procedures that ensure high-quality delivery.
  • Strong leadership in implementing best practices for QA strategies, processes, and tools in both functional and non-functional testing environments.
  • Proven track record in driving agile development practices, promoting a culture of continuous improvement, and enforcing the application of established QA guidelines.
  • Technical proficiency in manual and automated testing in a continuous delivery environment.
  • Excellent communication skills, ensuring alignment with all stakeholders to enforce QA processes and procedures effectively.
  • Expertise in Risk Management, including Risk Identification and Risk-Based Testing methodologies.
  • Experience in managing and mentoring teams, ensuring adherence to high standards of quality and agile practices.
  • Strong decision-making abilities, capable of handling pressure while ensuring process enforcement and quality standards.
  • Effective at conflict resolution, motivating teams, and recognizing individual talent to achieve optimal performance.


Responsibilities

  • Implement and Enforce QA Processes: Develop, implement, and enforce quality assurance processes and procedures that drive high-quality, agile development across all teams.
  • Agile Development Practices: Ensure all QA activities within agile teams, including automation, follow agile principles, ensuring that development is conducted in a manner that prioritizes rapid, iterative testing and feedback loops.
  • Technical Leadership in QA: Provide leadership in Test Automation, Testing Methodologies, and the use of Testing Tools to ensure consistent application of QA standards.
  • Process Monitoring and Improvement: Continuously monitor the QA processes within teams, identifying areas for improvement and ensuring strict adherence to established procedures.
  • Stakeholder Communication: Collaborate with stakeholders to enforce the QA vision and ensure consistent application of best practices across the organization.
  • Test Automation Leadership: Oversee test automation projects, providing guidance and technical expertise to automation developers and managers.
  • Training and Mentorship: Mentor QA staff, ensuring that team members are trained in both technical skills and adherence to QA processes and procedures.
  • Metrics and Reporting: Gather and present QA metrics to key stakeholders, providing insights into process adherence, quality standards, and testing activities.
  • Escalation Point for QA Issues: Act as the primary escalation point for QA matters, ensuring swift resolution of issues and enforcement of QA policies.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with the Head of QA, other QA and Development Managers, and Scrum Masters to ensure QA strategies meet department and corporate quality goals while adhering to agile methodologies.
  • Continuous Improvement: Promote a culture of continuous improvement, supporting QA staff with training and development opportunities to stay up to date with industry best practices.
