QA Analyst

Job description

The role will involve system integration, user acceptance and regression testing, so you will need a strong understanding of technical and business orientated testing and analysis of Bromcom products on multiple platforms.

Job requirements

  • Expertise in testing within an Agile environment
  • Able to interpret complex business requirements
  • Able to determine appropriate test coverage for small, to large system changes as well as bug fixes
  • Able to design quality test cases that can be reused
  • Extensive experience of testing, including system integration, user acceptance and regression testing
  • Experienced in the selection and use of appropriate test techniques in different situations
  • Extensive recent experience testing complex web applications
  • Assist in the analysis of test results and liaise with other Development Team members
  • Liaise with the QA Manager and Head of Products on matters relating to product quality and progress
  • Understanding and experience in SQL
  • Able to be proactive in scrum ceremonies and actively participate in retrospectives to help the scrum team move forward
  • A problem solver, willing to highlight risks and issues appropriately but able to provide solutions to mitigate them
  • A self-starter, someone who can pick up systems and changes quickly
  • SPECIFIC SKILLS
    • You will have higher education and preferably qualifications in a financial related field or computer science related field
    • Have excellent communication skills, be pro-active, want to input into and contribute to creating quality applications, and be passionate about delivering the very best quality of work
    • Experience in testing within education, finance or financial services domains preferred
    • Be able to work independently and within a team
    • Self-motivated, quick learner
    • Ability to “roll their sleeves up” and turn their hand to different tasks
