Job description

We have an exciting opportunity for an Accounts Supervisor within our company.

Main duties include but are not limited too.

Management Accounts - Prepare monthly management accounts, Profit & Loss, Balance Sheet, Reconcile control accounts, Submit to the MD on a timely basis each month, Submit to the Bank on a quarterly basis.

Cashflow Forecast - Prepare Cashflow Forecast on a weekly basis to be submitted to the MD as part of the weekly reports, o provide accurate information for the company to be able to rely on making decision based on the forecast.

Bank - Check Bank balance on a daily basis and report balance to MD, Input daily activities onto Accounts system, Carry out Bank reconciliation on a monthly basis, Make payments for supplier invoices via bank transfer, Make weekly payments to customers for Online Payments

Sales Forecasting - Carry out weekly meeting with the Sales department, Go through the sales forecast list on a weekly basis getting updates on expected/future orders which will be used for Cashflow Forecasting purposesSales Commission - Analyse orders for the month, Prepare individual break down sheets on a monthly basis

VAT - Prepare quarterly VAT returns and submit to HMRC

Audit - Prepare the audit file containing a full set of schedules for each P&L & BS account, Deal with all audit queries

Managing Accounts Assistant - Making sure all tasks are carried out on a timely and accurate manor, Carry out weekly meetings to set out & go through tasks to be covered for the week, To go through any problems/issues that Accounts Assistant may be having

Overseeing the Accounts Assistant responsibilities which are as follows:

Purchase Ledger,Sales Ledger, Cash Book & other payments, Petty Cash, Credit Control

Monthly Maintenance Renewals, Online Payments


Job requirements

Expected qualifications and skills:

  • Degree in Accounting & Finance
  • Qualified or Part-qualified ACCA or CIMA
  • IT literate and proficient in use of Office products
  • Good verbal and written communication skills
  • Flexible, enthusiastic and self-learner
